The main objective of the course is to build confident leaders. We work on three levels, first help the child prepare the speech content, then practise with voice modulation with physical aspects and then finally perform and learn to manage pre-performance anxiety and overcome their stage fright.
We dont believe in home’work’ but we extended the learning from each class to home by providing multiple interesting activities for the children to do at home.
We provide session notes after every session for the child to refer. You will also get to watch the session recordings after the session, in case the child wishes to recap any concepts.
The answer is Yes and No. We will definitely help children structure their thoughts and write a good speech. However we wont be teaching the children to read or write or focus exclusively on vocabulary. We are a ‘Public speaking course’ so the focus will be on preparing the children to perform on a wider stage with confidence.
We understand your concern, in order to ensure that the children get a sense of what it means to perform in front of an audience, we have performance sessions after every module consisting of 6 to 7 sessions, where we invite a guest and parents as audience and children have to present their speech/story narration in front of them.
21st century is an age where the world is running on the words of good orators. People who can express themselves well are valued throughout the world. Public speaking skills help people to make their own place in this world where they are heard and respect.
We here at Kiya learning try to make your child at par with these skills. We want to see our kids on top and for that we strive hard for providing them with quality education.
